Same Sex Marriage & Rights
Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell
While vast improvements have been made in many parts of the world as to the acceptability of same-sex marriages and relationships, many Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) people still find themselves stigmatised socially. To cover up the truth of their lives many enter into mixed-orientation marriages, where one person is homosexual or bisexual while the other is not. Such marriages are often complex masquerades, existing purely to avoid external prejudice or subdue internal conflict.
