Anders Breivik – Monster or Madman?
Years of focus on one day of chaos

A particularly chilling aspect of Breivik’s massacre was his calculated co-ordination of numerous elements, which allowed him to distract
security services with his Oslo bomb while he committed his attack on Utøya. The lengths he had taken to acquire the materials and abilities he required showed a level of predetermination that made it clear this was not a spur of the moment act. Breivik funded his plan with his own savings and nine credit cards, spending an estimated 317,000 Euros (roughly a quarter of a million pounds).
